Meskel Demera Fire

Meskel Demera is celebration, marked by the lighting of a massive bonfire, known as Demera, which brings communities together in a spirit of faith, unity, and joy. In towns and villages across Ethiopia, people gather around towering piles of wood decorated with yellow Meskel daisies, colorful flowers, and green branches.
